Planning Meeting Report & Upcoming Events

The Strategic Planning Meeting was held last Thursday, July 11. In attendance were the following APT delegates:

  • Dalisha Herring – Delta Zeta
  • Barbara Forbes-Lyons – Zeta Tau Alpha
  • Jennifer Sue Butler Harris – Alpha Chi Omega
  • Mariana Kendall – Theta Phi Alpha
  • DeeDee Olsen – Zeta Tau Alpha
  • Diane McCain – Chi Omega

The focus of the meeting was creating a strategy to increase participation in APT events, recruit younger alumnae, and fill all open APT delegate positions (with alternates). We are still seeking delegates from the following NPC groups (asterisk indicates a chapter at FSU):

  • Alpha Delta Pi*
  • Alpha Epsilon Phi
  • Alpha Omicron Pi*
  • Alpha Sigma Alpha
  • Alpha Sigma Tau
  • Alpha Xi Delta
  • Delta Delta Delta*
  • Delta Gamma*
  • Delta Phi Epsilon
  • Kappa Alpha Theta*
  • Kappa Delta*
  • Kappa Kappa Gamma*
  • Pi Beta Phi*
  • Sigma Delta Tau*

Once the delegate positions are filled, a nominating committee will be formed to seek candidates for the 2024-25 APT Board. APT delegates and alternates will be asked to volunteer for either a committee or Board position. Individuals are encouraged to join committees. Those assembled feel that a complete Board and working committees is the way forward to provide programming and opportunities for our members and and interests.

The by-laws include the following Committees and/or Liaisons

  • FSU Panhellenic Liaison
  • Social Committee
  • Scholarship Event
  • Scholarship Chair

We will be resuming the APT First Tuesday events, two social and one service per ‘semester’. Each event will be hosted by a different NPC sorority. Our first event is hosted by Alpha Chi Omega (see below).

APT First Tuesdays are Back!

Join your Panhellenic sisters for social time and a (very brief) business meeting.

Each month, a different NPC sorority will host APT’s First Tuesday event. Events will range from happy hours, dinners, service projects, and more.

Each First Tuesday will feature a 50/50 drawing. Attendees donate at the event, and we draw a winner who will receive 50% of the collection. The other 50% is donated to the host sorority’s philanthropy. It’s a win-win!!
